Carbanara

This dish is totally worth the effort. There are a couple different steps, but it is not complicated and so delicious.


Carbanara
{Adapted from Meg Vaisa}

1 pkg bacon
1 pkg fresh sliced mushrooms
1/2 medium onion chopped
1 tsp minced garlic
1 pint heavy cream
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 pkg fettuccine
2 eggs
Italian seasoning, salt, & pepper to taste

Cut bacon into pieces and cook until barely crispy.
Drain fat(you can leave a little in the pan for flavor if desired).
Add the mushrooms, onion, and garlic into the pan with bacon drippings and cook until soft and onions are translucent.
Add Italian seasoning, salt & pepper to taste.
In a separate pot combine butter, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese and cook until the cheese has melted.
In another separate pot cook your pasta according to the package directions.
When pasta is finished, immediately drain off water and replace into the hot pot and add two eggs and stir until eggs are cooked into the pasta.
Then add your bacon mixture and your sauce and stir together.
Pour over pasta and and garnish with extra parmesan.
