Swag Tips {Defrosting Meat}

I can't count how many times I had a meal planned for dinner, but forgot to thaw the meat in the fridge.  So I'd try to throw it in the microwave to defrost, only to find it is still frozen solid in the center, but cooking the edges into rubber.

I thought this was a neat trick to share.  Over at America's Test Kitchen they have a short video on a FDA-approved test kitchen method that doesn't use the microwave to defrost small cuts of meat.  It uses just a pot, some hot water and food storage bags.  Just click on the photo below to check it out.
