1cup Beetroot pieces
2cups Cooked rice
1/4cup Moongdal
1no Onion chopped
1tsp Red chilli powder
1tsp Garam masala powder
1/4tsp Cumin seed powder
1/4tsp Mustard seeds
1/4tsp Urad dal
5nos Curryleaves
Salt
Oil
Soak the moongdal in hot water for half an hour..heat oil in a large kadai...add the mustard seeds, urad dal n curry leaves n let them splutters...add the chopped onion n stir them until they turns transculent, add the chopped beetroot pieces, soaked moongdal with salt n cook until they turns bit tender...its time to add the red chilli powder, garam masala powder n cumin seed powder...stir everything well..add enough water n cook until they get well cooked..
Add the already cooked basmati rice to the spiced beetroot n toss them gently for a while...can also add grated coconut, it completely optional...
